Full Job Description
Responsibilities

  • Oversees staff, data processing and management tasks, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and organization of geospatial datasets.
  • Oversees the implementation of systems and databases that access and store geospatial and asset data. Develops and maintains geospatial data on desktop, mobile and cloud data storage applications; steering the design and creation of special maps and digital products using predefined procedures. Manages GIS and asset databases and analyses supporting SCE projects.
  • Leads collection and data handling, provides mapping services, performs technical research and analysis, and coordinates activities, building and maintaining a solid relationship with GIS providers.
  • Undertakes large scale identification and valuation of project opportunities under consideration of feasibility, profitability and requirements.
  • Supervises the development of and ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective staff time and work management.
  • Oversees design and coding of new tools and features to improve integration of data across platforms and create effective visualizations of analysis and related workflows.
  • Oversees and implements best practices to achieve SCE objectives.
  • Oversees and prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Four or more years of combined experience in performing or supervising GIS and/or analyzing data.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or Computer Science, with an emphasis in GIS.
  • Experience leading teams, leading special projects, or mentorship
  • Experience with proficiency in the use of ESRI ArcGIS 10.0 or higher, ArcPro, ArcGIS Online, Survey123, FieldMaps, WebApp Builder, and Experience Builder.
  • Specialized GIS education or certification


Additional Information

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
