UMass Memorial Health, the premier health and wellness partner for the people of Central Massachusetts and the largest healthcare system in the region, is seeking a passionate and skilled GI Oncologist to join our Division of Hematology/Oncology within the UMass Memorial Medical Group. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine academic practice with high-quality community-based cancer care across a network of well-established practices.

About the Role:

Join a vibrant and growing Division of Hematology/Oncology, which includes:
  • 28 Board-Certified Physicians and 31 Advanced Practice Providers
  • An integrated, multidisciplinary Cancer Center of Excellence focused on clinical care and innovation
  • Access to state-of-the-art clinical and research facilities
  • Affiliation with the UMass Chan Medical School, a nationally ranked academic institution


This role offers a dynamic mix of clinical care, teaching, research, and leadership opportunities with a clinical focus on gastrointestinal malignancies.

Key Highlights:
  • Primary clinical focus: Gastrointestinal cancers across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Clinic schedule: 6 half-day sessions per week, average of 8 patients per session
  • Protected administrative time: 1 day per week
  • Electronic Medical Record: Epic
  • Practice sites may include Worcester and either Leominster or Marlborough
  • Participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards, fellowship curriculum, and conferences
  • Academic appointment at UMass Chan Medical School, commensurate with experience
  • Opportunities for involvement in teaching, clinical research, quality improvement, community outreach, and leadership
