Titre du poste : Gestionnaire de projet, optimisation des coûts des produits

Compte tenu de la hausse importante des coûts observée sur la majorité des produits de Pratt & Whitney Canada au cours des dernières années à la suite de la pandémie de COVID-19, et de la pression croissante exercée sur les marges bénéficiaires, l'entreprise souhaite accentuer ses efforts en matière d'optimisation des coûts des produits.

Dans cette optique, il est proposé de créer une nouvelle équipe d'optimisation des coûts des produits au sein de l'organisation de gestion des coûts des produits.

La mission principale de cette équipe sera de définir, coordonner, suivre et accélérer les stratégies d'optimisation des coûts à l'échelle de l'entreprise pour les produits existants et les nouveaux programmes. L'optimisation des coûts des produits consiste à réduire les dépenses tout en maximisant la valeur, l'efficacité et la rentabilité. Cette approche globale vise à analyser et ajuster les coûts tout au long du cycle de vie du produit, depuis sa conception et son approvisionnement jusqu'à sa production et à la gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement.

Le poste s'effectue à notre établissement de Longueuil du lundi au vendredi, selon des horaires flexibles et exclusivement en présentiel.

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien?
  • Diriger les programmes assignés au sein de l'équipe d'optimisation des coûts des produits.
  • Définir, piloter et consolider les stratégies d'optimisation des coûts totaux des produits à l'échelle de l'entreprise pour les programmes existants (Legacy) et les nouveaux programmes (NPI).
  • Analyser l'ensemble du cycle de vie des produits afin d'identifier des occasions de réduction des coûts, de la conception initiale jusqu'à la gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement.
  • Collaborer avec les principales parties prenantes afin de maximiser la rentabilité et l'efficacité opérationnelle dans un contexte d'augmentation des coûts.
  • Promouvoir l'adoption de méthodologies de conception simplifiée telles que le Design to Cost (D2C) et le Design for Manufacturing (D4M).
  • Négocier et optimiser les contrats fournisseurs afin d'obtenir de meilleures conditions financières et une plus grande valeur ajoutée.
  • Rationaliser les processus de production en tirant parti de l'automatisation et des technologies émergentes.
  • Assurer le suivi des initiatives d'optimisation afin de protéger et d'améliorer les marges bénéficiaires de l'entreprise.


Qu'est-ce qu'il vous faut pour réussir?
  • Baccalauréat en génie mécanique, génie industriel, génie aéronautique ou en gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement.
  • Entre 7 et 10 ans d'expérience.
  • Une expérience en approvisionnement, en analyse d'affaires ou en analyse des coûts constitue un atout.
  • Une expérience en gestion de projets est requise.


Ce poste s'inscrit dans un milieu de travail francophone, néanmoins il nécessite une connaissance de base de l'anglais pour comprendre certaines instructions de travail spécialisées, des dessins et des termes techniques qui peuvent émaner d'organisations internationales.

Job title : Product Cost Optimization project manager

Given the recent cost escalation seen on most P&WC products over the last few years following COVID-19 and the strain it is putting on profit margins, there is a desire at the company level to emphasize focus on product cost optimization. To this end, it is being proposed to add a Product Cost Optimization branch to the Product Cost Management organization.

The primary mission will be to consolidate, track and drive total product cost optimization strategies across the enterprise for legacy and NPI products. Product cost optimization is the strategic process of reducing expenses while maximizing value, efficiency, and profitability. It involves a holistic approach to analyze and adjust spending across the product lifecycle, from initial design and sourcing to production and supply chain management. Key strategies include simplifying design (D2C/D4M), negotiating better supplier contracts, streamlining production, and leveraging automation and technology.

The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?
  • Lead assigned programs within Product Cost Optimization team.
  • Drive and consolidate total product cost optimization strategies across the enterprise for assigned legacy and NPI Programs.
  • Analyze the entire product lifecycle holistically to identify cost-saving opportunities, from initial design to supply chain management.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to maximize profitability and operational efficiency in response to rising cost escalations.
  • Promote the adoption of simplified design methodologies, such as Design to Cost (D2C) and Design for Manufacturing (D4M).
  • Negotiate and optimize supplier contracts to secure better financial terms and value.
  • Streamline production processes by leveraging automation and emerging technologies.
  • Track and monitor optimization initiatives to protect and enhance the company's profit margins.

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
