Responsibilities

  • Manage geotechnical engineering projects from start to finish

Full Job Description
Who we are looking for:

This position will primarily provide project management for geotechnical services. Responsibilities include coordinating efforts of other engineers, drill crews, and sub-consultants to deliver results that ensure the goal of exceeding clients' expectations on every project. May include leading subsurface investigations, performing engineering analysis and calculations, design and development of plans and specifications, and the preparation and review of reports for services provided.

What you will be doing:
  • Project management of geotechnical engineering on large and/or multiple projects addressing earthwork and foundation materials
  • Manages geotechnical engineering projects from inception, including project schedules and budgets
  • Preparation of geotechnical engineering project work scopes, schedules, budgets, invoices and proposals
  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to provide quality engineering services
  • Subsurface investigations including borings and test pits
  • Oversees and provides guidance for staff that may include other engineers, geologists, drill crews and subcontractors to ensure our goal of exceeding our clients' expectations on every project
  • Coordinates and communicates with contractors and clients
  • Satisfies multiple and unrelated deadlines
  • Prepares technical reports and letters
  • Other duties as assigned

What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technologies, or a related field
  • Typically 5-10 years of experience
  • P.E. license require
  • Must be a team leader who can lead growth and success through F&R values
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to multi-task and meat deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams to achieve goals
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R's pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record
  • Ability to continuously sit, stand, and walk
  • Ability to occasionally lift less than 20 lbs
  • Ability to work outside in frequent changes of temperatures
  • Ability to occasionally bend, squat, climb, push, and pull
  • Ability to work in environments containing dust and fumes
  • Ability to drive to and from work sites, must have valid driver's license with good-standing driving record
  • Ability to occasionally travel overnight (less than 35%)
