Join our Ground Engineering Group as a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist based in Vancouver, BC. In this role, you will contribute to complex infrastructure, transportation, and land development projects across Western Canada while collaborating with industry-leading specialists. You will play a key role in delivering innovative geotechnical solutions that support resilient communities and sustainable growth.
Your Impact
  • Lead and deliver medium- to large-scale geotechnical investigation programs across British Columbia and other regions of Canada.
  • Provide hands-on support during field investigations and construction projects, including travel to remote locations for extended periods as required.
  • Manage projects as part of the Ground Engineering Group by overseeing client expectations, budgets, schedules, and technical resources.
  • Direct geotechnical components of large-scale construction projects, ensuring quality, compliance, risk management, and cost control.
  • Mentor junior engineers and EITs while contributing to the ongoing growth and technical excellence of the Ground Engineering team.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical solutions into broader project designs and deliverables.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering, or in Geology/Engineering Geology.
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology within a consulting environment.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in British Columbia, or able to obtain registration within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Experience using geotechnical software such as Slide or Slope/W, Settle3, CLiq, and CPeT-IT is considered an asset.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in field programs, including travel to remote project locations when required.

Compensation

Compensation:

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 - $118,900
MB & ON: $81,900 - $112,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 - $107,700
