Role description:Arcadis is seeking an experienced
Geotechnical Engineer to join our National Water Management Team and Water South team. . In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering impactful projects that directly support communities across the country. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to take projects from concept through construction-gaining exposure to complex infrastructure challenges while building your technical and project leadership capabilities. This role will perform geotechnical analyses for levees, dams, floodwalls, and other hydraulic structures. Role accountabilities:As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering engineering and consulting services for a variety of projects, including those focused on flood risk reduction, waterfront infrastructure resilience, dam safety, lock and navigation structure design etc.
You'll partner closely with clients and internal leaders to shape project scope, develop innovative solutions, and ensure successful, on-time delivery. Beyond project execution, you'll mentor entry-level engineers-making a visible impact both within the organization and across the communities we serve.
Additional duties include:
- Preparation of geotechnical recommendations that aid in the development of designs, drawings, specifications, and reports
- Work with our multi-disciplinary Water Management team that includes Civil, Structural, and Geotechnical Engineers to deliver innovative designs for our clients
- Data evaluation of instrumentation systems at levees, spillways, outlet works, and slopes.
- Assists in planning and coordinating geotechnical field investigations. Design and analyses of other heavy civil and earthen structures will be a part of this role in addition to preparing design/bid packages for permitting/construction, and coordinating and overseeing construction administration, and inspection services.
- Planning field exploration and laboratory testing programs.
- Some travel may be required to project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, construction oversight, etc.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of geotechnical experience.
- EIT/PE Certification
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 8 years of geotechnical experience.
- Experience in managing project teams and collaborating with other technical disciplines. Proficiency in using programs such as gINT, SEEPW, SLOPEW, CWALSHT, PYWall, LPILE, and GROUP
- Experience in geotechnical analyses for dams, levees, cofferdams, and foundations for various hydraulic structures. Seepage, static and seismic stability analysis, liquefaction analysis, deformation analysis, and foundation and settlement analysis experience.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $88,000 - $113,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
