Are you an experienced geotechnical engineer ready to take the next step in your career? Stantec is a global engineering consulting firm dedicated to creating sustainable and innovative solutions. We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer (P.Eng.) to join our Edmonton team and help deliver impactful projects in our community.

The successful candidate will work closely with a local team of 30 geotechnical professionals based out of Edmonton, supported by a wider, regional team of over 200 geotechnical professionals.

Your Opportunity
  • Innovative Environment: Leverage cutting-edge tools (UAVs, AI-integrated solutions) and contribute to Stantec's Innovation Office and Digital Center of Excellence.
  • Client Engagement: Build relationships with clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Lead and Deliver Projects: Manage and execute small to mid-sized geotechnical projects from proposal through completion, including planning, analysis, reporting, and client communication.
  • Technical Leadership: Apply your expertise to complex analyses, mentor junior staff, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological or Mining Engineering, or Geology.
  • 5-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or related services.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA or eligible for registration transfer from another province.
  • Valid Canadian driver's license with access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to live and work in Canada.
  • Residing in Edmonton Alberta, or willing to relocate.

About the Team

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
