Description

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Services Project Lead to join our Geospatial Field Services team. This position will be responsible for supporting the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, quality assurance/quality control, and completion of professional services. Additionally, the role includes training and mentoring of junior staff, client satisfaction, and business development under the direction of the Geospatial and Market Leaders within the Renewables & Power Divisions.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates various scopes of work and creates budgets and proposal scope language based on client requirements.
  • Effectively manages project teams, tasks, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Manages project budget and analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, billing rates, and utilization.
  • Evaluates team and individual performance and provides feedback to the Service Leader.
  • Conducts meetings with project team to evaluate and coordinate the project.
  • Stays current on service-specific trends, technology, software, hardware, and equipment.
  • Drives value based on innovation and cross-sells other Westwood services based on client needs.
  • Works with the Geospatial Field Services Manager to establish, implement, monitor, and maintain procedures and quality standards for the survey group.
  • Ensures that field services work products have a consistent appearance across the team and are delivered efficiently.
  • Works with Field Services Manager and Market Leaders on staffing, utilization and workload as it relates to survey.
  • Works with the Division Survey Leaders, and Market Leaders to grow Westwood's local and national survey presence with a focus on developing strategic pursuits of large survey projects.
  • Supports office and market-based business development by providing technical expertise and generating revenue.
  • Builds, maintains, and grows a strong culture for survey that aligns with the division's goals, objectives and strategies, and Westwood's core values.
  • Ensures division, regional, and company, values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the Geospatial service.
  • Leads by example - displays solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.
  • Provides day-to-day guidance and mentoring to project team staff as needed.
  • Handle multiple priorities and projects well.
  • Consistently exercises independent judgment and demonstrates critical thinking skills.

Required Experience:
  • 5-plus years of experience in the surveying and/or private utility locating and or SUE industry.
  • Previous experience in AutoCAD
  • Must have a strong understanding of all aspects of the Private utility locating/SUE profession.
  • Must have a strong background in project management.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
