In this capacity, the successful candidate will0be responsible for0the following:0

  • Understanding of0all field and office survey operations.0
  • Organize technical production and direct field work.0
  • Uphold quality control and assurance.0
  • Maintain communication with clients,0leadership0and staff.0
  • Meet schedules and budgets while providing responsive service to the client.0
  • Perform boundary research of maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records.0
  • Prepare0metes0and bounds descriptions and parcel0plats.0
  • Complete GDOT survey deliverables per the GDOT Survey Manual and EDG.0
  • Research0previous0survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for various surveys including control, topographic, bathymetric, engineering,0alignment0and right-of-way.0
  • Coordinate projects with clients, staff, engineering and architectural personnel, and other stakeholders.0
  • Determine0methods and procedures for0establishing0or reestablishing survey control.0
  • Ability to apply techniques and methods to obtain desired accuracy and information.0
  • Maintain project database by using computer programs; entering and backing up data.0
  • Show consistent exercise of initiative and independent judgment in work assignments.0
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge.0
  • Participate in professional societies and practice communities.0
  • Ability to work with and mentor people.0

  • 7+ years of experience as a land surveyor.0
  • Experience with preparation of boundary research and calculations, topographic surveys, project control, metes and bounds descriptions and general survey support for engineering design projects.0
  • Experience managing office and field survey personnel with the ability to0identify0work priorities and functions.0
  • Excellent math,0oral0and written communication skills.0
  • Strong0detail-oriented work style.0
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects with schedule and budget constraints.0
  • Professional attitude and0able0to communicate with all levels of personnel.0
  • Must have0valid0driver9s license and0clean0driving record.0

Compensation:0The salary range for this position is $95,000-$135,000.0

Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.0
