- Under general supervision, performs basic to moderate complexity geologic/ seismic evaluations/fault rupture hazard and slope stability investigations/hydrogeologic analysis (aquifer test analysis; geochemical analysis; geotechnical analysis; contaminant transport analysis etc.) in both surface and subsurface geologic conditions pertaining to water supply, contaminant and/or geotechnical assessments.
- Activities may include subsurface geological formation logging, water sampling, surface geological mapping, aquifer testing and/or soils characterization and data compilation and evaluation.
- Prepares cross sections, Isoconcentration maps, technical reports, and/or QA/QC analysis.
- Develops draft evaluations and calculations for compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all assessments.
- Schedules and reviews the work of subcontractors during field work.
- Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc..
- Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
- Attends conferences, symposia, etc.
- to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.
- Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff.
- Reviews the work of more junior staff.
- Performs other duties as required.
Skills & AbilitiesExpert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Solid knowledge of scientific methods and processes. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline. 3 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
