  • Support decision-making processes for government stakeholders through technical consultation.

Full Job Description
As a Solvarus team member, you will serve as a Systems Engineer providing end-to-end Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services to a National Customer. Duties include:
  • This position requires expertise in NITF imagery standards and specification documentation, and the ability to evaluate technical aspects of imagery products and determine the appropriate NITF updates required.
  • Facilitate Integrated Product Teams (IPT's) and Engineering working groups that will review and assess the maturity of engineering Artifacts, CONOPS, Interfaces, and Architecture products.
  • Assist with the Identification of Enterprise and System risks for elevation through the Risk Management (RM) process, executing risk mitigation steps, and closing risks.
  • Provide project management support with short turn-around projects; development of requirements, project plans, needs assessment, and transition planning.
  • Identify integration issues and coordinate resolution Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs).
  • Provide technical assessment of engineering change requests and provide recommendations for engineering change management process.
  • Assist with decision support and technical consultation, meeting coordination, and leading the development of initial recommendations for Government decision-makers.

Qualifications:
  • Requires 12-15 years with BS/BA or 10-13 years with MS/MA or 10+ years with PhD.
  • Current and Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, operations research, engineering management, or related STEM degree program.
  • Expertise in NITF imagery standard and specifications.
  • Ability to evaluate technical aspects of imagery products to determine appropriate NITF standard/specification updates required to support the product characteristics.
  • Be a self-starter requiring minimal oversight to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Experience in supporting Requirements Engineering, CONOPS development, and system integration to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering.
  • Integration and closure experience within overall customer domain.
  • Experience identifying user needs and gaps, identifying potential solutions, and assessing/analyzing alternatives.
  • Ability to operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority.
  • Demonstrated systems engineering process knowledge.
  • Proven communication skills.

Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with direct IC customer, technical familiarity with mission processing or mission control of systems, including sensor knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of commercial imagery providers (e.g., Maxar, Plant, BlackSky)
  • Tools: Cameo, Tableau, Confluence, Jira
