Full Job Description
SAIC is seeking a GEOINT Ground AMTI Systems Engineer to join SAIC's Prime SETA program in Chantilly, VA supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED).

As the GEOINT Ground AMTI Systems Engineer you will interact daily with senior government and Program staff to analyze new concepts and technologies; support the definition and baselining of new capabilities and/or enhancements; advise on all aspects of System Engineering analysis (architecture, requirements, Concept of Operations (CONOPs), interfaces, schedule, and dependency identification); test support, and provide Readiness Event support.

Responsibilities to include
  • Collaborate daily with development contractors, government program personnel, and customers on systems engineering and acquisition functions for GEOINT collection, mission management, and mission processing.
  • Provide oversight and monitor software development and integration activities, ensuring alignment with government requirements and objectives.
  • Perform engineering and analysis to support the successful development and delivery of core mission processing services throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Conduct strategic planning for mission architecture (e.g., technical trade studies, future architecture definition, software service recommendations) and programmatic needs (e.g., budgeting, cost estimation, acquisition schedules).
  • Assess performance, cost, schedule, and risk impacts on existing ground architecture implementations.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and review technical reports, design artifacts, and program plans.
  • Coordinate program activities to align with strategic priorities and performance standards.
  • Coordinate with the Thread Lead, SB-AMTI systems integration, test, and readiness activities
  • Serves a pLEO Thread advocate for SB-AMTI mission capabilities and understanding how they contribute mission value
  • SME for SB-AMTI and derive requirements from source documents (SOCs, RFCs, Solution Epics), for traceability and testability across architecture, interfaces, and ICDs.
  • Attend and represent as the primary SB-AMTI Thread advocate supporting the Thread Lead
  • Define and write SB-AMTI Solution Functional Outlines and Solution Epics.
  • Design, develop, and implement test and evaluation plans to ensure delivery of ground systems supporting SB-AMTI.


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
  • 3+ years of experience in GEOINT systems, including space and ground architecture, mission control, and mission processing functions.
  • Knowledge/ Experience in IC/DoD system acquisition, including roles, processes, and project/program management.
  • Strong GEOINT systems engineering knowledge and background significant to Airborne Battle Management.
  • Experience in developing or supporting the development of processing capabilities for GEOINT systems.
  • Domain knowledge in ground software, space development programs, or mission operations.
  • General knowledge in the motion target indicator (MTI) data types and utility.
  • Understanding and experience in command and control (C2) and battlespace management.
  • Self-motivated and able to communicate effectivity with senior decision makers.
  • Experience in requirements management and traceability.
  • Ability to advocate for mission capabilities and understanding how they contribute to mission value.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing, test and evaluations plans.
  • Experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) programs.
  • Self-motivated professional capable of executing tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and verbal / written communication skills, able to convey information across multiple customer and corporate audiences.
