Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Geographic Information Systems Analyst to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama! This position is on our TEAMS NEXT Facilities Lifecycle Management (FLCM) contract, in support of the Department of War (DoW) Missile Defense Agency (MDA). You will work as a senior analyst providing GIS expertise, mapping, and related technical support to the planning of Agency activities which include military construction (MILCON), new sites development, equipment deployments, and test activities.
What You'll Be Doing:- Assist the Agency to effectively plan, site, program, and acquire facilities, sites, and capabilities that meet MDA mission requirements worldwide.
- Support siting, master planning, real property, and other aspects of facility life-cycle planning, programming, design, construction, sustainment, and disposal.
- Develop geo-referenced maps and graphics for analysis of site geometry and site layout in planning and design. Includes plotting global positioning system (GPS) coordinates from site surveys into geo-referenced maps.
- Provide graphic products for technical, management, and decision documents and briefs.
- Track industry and DoW reference standards in the development of maps, layouts, overlays, and graphics.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:- Security Clearance requirements: Secret, or ability to obtain within six months of hire
- Must be U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent work experience) with 12+ years of related work experience. GIS related certification is preferred.
- Possess in-depth technical theoretical knowledge for applicable technical disciplines and resources used
- Capable of leading and executing GIS-based analytical tasks to produce geo-referenced maps and graphics for analysis of site geometry and site layout in planning and design. Includes plotting global positioning system (GPS) coordinates from site surveys into geo-referenced maps
- Experience preparing GIS-based and geo-referenced graphics for technical documents and executive decision briefs
- Experience applying DoW information security and classification requirements and principles to the development, labeling, and handling of work products to include graphics.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage work tasking prioritization and brief project status and recommendations to leadership
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS and AutoCAD
- Experience using standard U.S. professional office software to include Adobe Acrobat, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and MS Teams
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:- BA/BS degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) field of study with 13 years of relevant experience. No education-for-experience substitutions. A professional license issued by any U.S. state in a relevant technical field (engineering, construction, surveying) may be substituted for 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience coordinating with and producing graphics for the U.S. Military (all branches), USACE, NAVFAC, and AFCEC
- Experience dealing with DoW installations' Department of Public Works to obtain database information and review master planning information
- Experience with providing information for Explosive Safety Siting Plans (ESSP)
- Experience with producing graphics for safety and hazards analysis including electronic emissions and ordnance
Security Clearance Requirement:An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
