Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Generator Team Manager to oversee our team of technicians and ensure efficient operations and exceptional service delivery. Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a team of Generator Technicians, including scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and mentoring to ensure high standards of workmanship and professionalism.

- Plan and coordinate daily work assignments, projects, and service calls to optimize team efficiency and meet client expectations.

- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of diesel and gas-powered generators according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor work progress, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and provide technical guidance as needed.

- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to develop project plans, budgets, and timelines for new installations and major service contracts.

- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including maintenance logs, equipment inventory, and client communications.

- Monitor and analyze team performance metrics, such as service response times, completion rates, and customer satisfaction scores, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

- Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous learning within the team, promoting adherence to company policies and industry best practices.

- Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated client inquiries and technical issues, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining positive client relationships.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience in generator systems management.

- Proven experience managing a team of technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of diesel and gas-powered generators.

- Strong technical knowledge of generator systems, including electrical and mechanical components, controls, and power distribution systems.

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of technical professionals.

- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings.

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interface confidently with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

- Ability to travel occasionally to client sites and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

- Certification from recognized organizations such as EGSA (Electrical Generating Systems Association) or PMP (Project Management Professional).

- Experience with specific generator brands and models (e.g., Kohler, Cummins, Generac, Caterpillar).

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to generator installations and maintenance.
