POSITON SUMMARY:

The selected incumbent will direct a subdivision responsible for the inspection, construction, repair, and maintenance of NYC Transit's rapid transit stations, structural components, and related equipment. The incumbent provides direction to personnel and develops monthly and annual material requirement plans to ensure timely acquisition and distribution of materials.

They develop strategic and tactical plans to optimize the use of limited material and workforce resources. The role also involves planning and directing multi-million - dollar capital construction projects.

The incumbent directs emergency response efforts carried out by Infrastructure personnel, performs on-site evaluations of emergency situations, and recommends the appropriate level and type of response. They develop action plans to minimize service disruptions.

The incumbent oversees maintenance and repair operations and ensures full adherence to system safety policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in business management , Project Maintenance , or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience. Eight (8) years of full- time related experience, including at least five (5) years in a managerial or supervisory r ole.

DESIRED SKILLS:
• Extensive knowledge of transit operations related to Infrastructure maintenance and construction, including railroad industry safety standards, material management, and labor contracts.
• Extensive experience in the repair, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, reconstruction, rehabilitation, and installation of Track and Infrastructure components in a rapid transit system, including pumps and emergency ventilation systems.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and scheduling methods.
• Demonstrated ability to apply effective managerial and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
