We're Hiring: General SuperintendentThe General Superintendent for GMi is a key component in the company's overall success. This integral position is responsible for overseeing all aspects that relate directly to the field and the general success of a project, with the three key components being SAFETY, QUALITY, & PERFORMANCE. This is a multi-functional position that requires the following skills and knowledge: Strong leadership ability, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, problem-solving, time management, and the ability to follow through with a plan of action.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and enforce safety standards across assigned projects, conducting audits, verifying certifications, coordinating inspections, and partnering with company leadership to maintain a proactive safety culture.
  • Oversee and implement the Quality Control Program, ensuring all work meets contract documents, specifications, and GMI standards - with full accountability for final project quality and client acceptance.
  • Conduct routine audits of Superintendents and Foremen to verify safety compliance, quality installation, documentation accuracy, and hazard analysis reporting.
  • Drive project success from kickoff through completion by aligning field leadership with budgets, scope, sequencing, manpower plans, production goals, and scheduling requirements.
  • Monitor and protect project profitability by tracking unit costs, percent-complete progress, material usage, labor efficiency, and time coding accuracy.
  • Implement and maintain production tracking tools to ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule.
  • Build and assign effective field teams in collaboration with senior leadership, ensuring proper supervision coverage and workforce planning.
  • Manage manpower strategically to avoid inefficiencies, unnecessary overtime, and productivity gaps.
  • Oversee payroll audits, hiring approvals, labor rate alignment, and workforce performance evaluations.
  • Ensure full compliance with contract documents, company standards, and operational procedures across all assigned projects.
  • Maintain oversight of personnel, equipment, materials, subcontractors, vendors, and documentation.
  • Build strong working relationships with General Contractors to support customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Identify problems early and take decisive action to protect safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.
