Position SummaryThe Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily operations, coordinating staff and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget, and maintaining quality standards. This role serves as the primary on-site leader, managing project execution and communicating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise day-to-day project activities.
- Coordinate and schedule employees, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Monitor project progress and identify solutions to maintain schedules and budgets.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control reviews.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Lead site meetings and provide progress updates to management and clients.
- Track labor productivity and resource allocation.
- Resolve operational issues, conflicts, and project delays.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of supervisory or superintendent experience.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and industry regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications- OSHA certification or equivalent safety credentials.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant industry certifications.
