You must have General Sales Manager and Toyota experience at a high volume Toyota dealership.What You Will DoStrategic Leadership:
- Accountable for overall store performance and daily performance metrics.
- Display an outstanding track record for compliance.
- Partner with the General Manager to review forecasts and profits for departments.
- Track, manage, and maximize Primary Market Area (PMA) performance.
- Operate efficiently to maximize profitability across all departments.
Team Management & Accountability:
- Supervise Sales Managers, F&I Managers, and Sales Consultants.
- Oversee the hiring and training of new employees.
- Exhibit a professional management style that sets the example for accountability, productivity, and enthusiasm.
- Hold the team accountable, demonstrate good follow-through, and be comfortable having difficult conversations with employees when necessary.
Sales & Operations:
- Take a hands-on approach by working leads, desking deals, and ensuring rebates and contracts are collected.
- Actively motivate and support sales staff to achieve goals, maintain high morale, and provide an enjoyable atmosphere.
- Meet with sales managers to plan day-to-day operations and achieve sales and gross profit goals.
- Ensure the sales department is consistently meeting benchmarks for closing ratios.
- Assist in establishing trust among our clientele and closing deals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have experience managing high-volume operations, specifically 250275 new cars per month and 225250 used cars per month.
- Previously employed as a General Sales Manager at a Toyota dealership.
- Extensive experience successfully managing used car operations.
- Track record of profitability and above-average CSI.
- Ability to desk deals and close deals.
- Strong leadership, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong listening skills with strict attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively build rapport with others.
- Working knowledge of automotive DMS systems.
- Excellent working knowledge of Auto systems like Dealertrack, V Auto, and E-leads is preferred.
- Valid driver27s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
