Reports to: CEO

The General Manager is responsible for ensuring the specific trailer leasing location has the proper trailers (Storage, Road, containers, etc.) to support customer demands. GM is responsible for ensuring the equipment meets all Federal and State DOT requirements. This can be done by outsourcing work or within WOW service centers. Also, responsible for not only maintaining but growing our customer base to achieve greater market penetration & revenue goals. Will determine market pricing for trailers and then develop a strategy to ensure maximum utilization at competitive pricing is maintained. Will utilize operational metrics & "Dashboard" and then monitor to ensure targets are being achieved. Responsible for getting trailers on lease, lease is signed by customer, insurance provided, the trailer is invoiced to the customers and outstanding accounts payables are collected. Will supervise staff as site location dictates. Will develop budget in coordination with CFO, and responsible for financial performance of location. Will develop trailer inventory strategy to anticipate growth within the respective district. Maintains physical location condition and maintenance. Evaluate, plan, and coordinate real property needs as business dictates.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies to place trailers, containers, equipment on rent.


  • Coordinate servicing and repair of trailers, containers, and equipment.


  • Supervise variety of individuals in different professions to provide first class trailers to customers.


  • Familiar with invoicing software to ensure timely billing of trailer rental to customer.


  • Develop team members to advance their skills by supporting the organization.


  • Source trailers and assist with procuring more assets to meet customer demands.


  • Work with other GMs to share ideas and work as a team to support customer demands.


  • Provide data to "Dashboard" and review daily to maintain a "pulse" on operations.


  • Monitor customer demands daily and work with team and other GMs to fill customer orders.


  • Source NTUs and work with Finance to complete purchasing of the trailers.


  • Work to collect funds from customers that are past due beyond payment terms.


  • GMs with service centers will ensure the facility is equipped and operational to support work activity.


  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft software especially Word, Power Point, and Excel.


  • Ability to work with team to gain input to gather information to make best decision for organization.


  • Responsible for interviewing and hiring key players in the organization.


  • Create, interpret, and work within budget requirements.


  • Develop communication tools to keep team aware of status of performance of service center.


  • Work with appropriate parties to resolve employee disputes or questions.


  • Serve as the lead to ensure Safety First Safety always with creating a safe work environment.


  • Maintains physical location and evaluates real property needs as business dictates.


  • Responsible for maintaining and growing customer base to achieve greater market penetration and revenue growth.
