Throughout the day, the GM works to strengthen the division's team by coaching leaders, supporting hiring decisions, and fostering relationships with trade partners, brokers, and other external stakeholders. Strategic planning sessions, financial reviews, and collaboration with the broader leadership team round out the work, all with a focus on improving execution and positioning the division for continued success while upholding Stanley Martin's Mission, Vision, and Values.

What is Stanley Martin looking for ?The ideal General Manager candidate brings strong business instincts and the ability to adopt companywide processes while uniting teams around shared goals. This person shows enthusiasm for the homebuilding industry and creates clarity and momentum around business objectives and change initiatives. They work as a team player who can bring different departments together, build strong relationships internally and externally, and communicate in a way that inspires confidence and alignment across the division.
Must Haves- Bachelor's degree required (business, finance, construction or related field)
- MBA preferred, but not required
- Minimum 8 years homebuilding experience required. Experience should be in at least 2 different areas of the business (i.e., sales and production OR purchasing and finance)
- Experience in a "leader of leaders" role
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret financial statements, manage budgets, and understand the financial implications of operational decisions
