Essential Job Functions:
The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with an emphasis on the Company's interests
- Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple management tasks within established timeframes and through the work of subordinate managers and supervisors
- Analyze data to determine the appropriate course of action concerning the preparation, administration and management of budgets; optimizing center and region-wide efficiencies with regard to distribution and warehousing issues
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly manages Operations Manager and Regional DC Manager(s) and indirectly manages all Supervisors, HR Manager and Industrial Engineer.
This includes interviewing, hiring, training, assignment delegation and follow-up, periodic performance review and disciplinary action including termination when necessary.
Work Environment: While most job duties are performed while seated indoors, but some exposure to heat, cold, dirt, dust, fumes and noises should not be overlooked when on the warehouse floor.
Minor travel to regional locations may also be expected.
Education (Required): Four-year college degree in management or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required Work Experience (Required): minimum of 10 years related distribution or warehouse management experience.
Demonstrated strong understanding and practical experience working in large distribution centers concerning management, practices and accounting for inventory control is also required.
Work Experience (Preferred): Private fleet and/or transportation background a significant plus.
Skills: Qualified applicants will demonstrate excellent communication, analytical, planning and organizational skills and have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office.
