Full Job Description
Position Purpose:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance and profitability of the distribution center. This role oversees all operational functions including sales, merchandising, inventory control, warehouse operations, delivery, administrative support, and customer service. The General Manager may also manage external cash-and-carry operations. The role is accountable for developing and executing the annual budget, driving customer growth, and ensuring operational excellence and compliance.

Major Functional Responsibilities:
  • Manage staff to include hiring, providing training and guidance, establishing job standards and regularly evaluating performance. Develops and motivates employees by establishing goals, coaching, and providing feedback on job performance.
  • Oversee the operation of the distribution center with responsibility for inventory control, warehouse, delivery and administrative support functions: may manage external cash and carry operations. Responsible for achieving established distribution center goals and objectives.
  • Enhance customer relations through quality customer service to include adequate inventory, accurate and timely deliveries and timely responses to customer service issues.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with sales personnel to include meeting with customers, providing appropriate service levels, and assisting with sales projections.
  • Develop the distribution center's annual budget to include the determination of projected departmental expenses and gross profit projections.
  • Participate in product planning in conjunction with headquarters merchandising department.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards


Required Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree - Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field

Work Experience:
5 - 7 Years - Related experience
6 Months - 1 Year - Supervisory or management experience

Required Qualifications
• Significant experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations is essential. Leadership roles in these areas are highly valued.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
