Position Summary

The General Manager, Affiliate Facilities is responsible for the strategic oversight, operational performance, and administrative coordination of all affiliate facilities across Canada. This position will report to the Director of Canada. This role serves as the primary liaison between affiliate locations, sales teams, vendors, and transportation partners to ensure operational efficiency, service level compliance, and cost control. The General Manager will drive consistency across affiliate operations, support facility growth and capacity planning, and implement initiatives that improve service delivery while reducing overall operating expenses.

Key Responsibilities

Affiliate Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operational support for all affiliate facilities across Canada.
  • Manage and coordinate MD/HD vehicle quoting and dispatch activities for all affiliate locations.
  • Ensure all trip confirmations, transportation documentation, and related administrative processes are completed accurately and timely.
  • Monitor affiliate facility performance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Maintain a centralized cost center for all affiliate operations and associated expenses.

  • Ensure vehicles and lots are accurately assigned and uploaded to the appropriate auction platforms.
  • Coordinate with facility teams to maintain timely and accurate inventory processing.
  • Support auction readiness and compliance across all affiliate locations.
  • Ensure affiliate facilities have adequate supplies, equipment, hardware, and operational resources to meet business demands.
  • Monitor facility capacity and proactively address resource constraints.
  • Collaborate with affiliate locations to optimize yard utilization and operational throughput.


Vendor & Affiliate Relationship Management

  • Manage vendor relationships and contractual agreements for all affiliate facilities.
  • Conduct regular meetings, site visits, and performance reviews with affiliate partners.
  • Foster strong working relationships to ensure alignment with company objectives and operational standards.
  • Negotiate and support implementation of vendor agreements that improve service levels and reduce costs.


Service Level & Sales Support

  • Ensure compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across all affiliate facilities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between affiliate operations and sales teams.
  • Address operational challenges that may impact customer service, vehicle processing, or sales performance.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to improve SLA performance when necessary.


Cost Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive initiatives to reduce overall CPC towing expenses and affiliate override costs.
  • Analyze operational and transportation costs to identify savings opportunities.
  • Evaluate current processes and staffing models to improve efficiency and reduce redundant activities.
  • Support organizational initiatives that streamline affiliate operations and improve profitability.


Recruitment & Network Development

  • Lead sub-haul carrier recruitment efforts in partnership with the U.S. Recruiting Team.
  • Identify geographic coverage gaps and target recruitment efforts to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure affiliate yard capacity aligns with business volume requirements and growth projections.
  • Support onboarding and integration of new affiliate partners and transportation providers.


Bilingual Support

  • Provide French-language support for affiliate facilities, vendors, and operational stakeholders as needed.
  • Facilitate effective communication between English- and French-speaking partners across Canada.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience in operations management, transportation, logistics, automotive remarketing, or a related industry.
  • Experience managing multiple locations, vendors, or affiliate networks.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation, dispatch, and facility operations.
  • Proven experience managing budgets and cost-control initiatives.
  • Fluency in both English and French (written and verbal).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


Preferred

  • Experience in vehicle auction, salvage, remarketing, or automotive logistics environments.
  • Experience with SLA management and vendor contract administration.
  • Demonstrated success leading operational improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
