Job Description

As a General Manager at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will oversee the Hydrogen Fluoride (HF) segment, driving the development and execution of the global Strategic Plan (STRAP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Morris Plains, NJ, and reports to the Vice President of Building Solutions, Intermediates and Healthcare. The role requires a minimum of 20% travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute the global Strategic Plan (STRAP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the LOB, aligned with corporate growth targets
  • Identify key market trends (e.g., regulatory shifts, sustainability drivers, feedstock dynamics) to shape product strategy and innovation pipeline
  • Drive competitive positioning through market segmentation, pricing strategy, and customer value differentiation
  • Lead all aspects of P&L for the business and monitor key financial KPIs
  • Oversee global commercial strategy, including channel management, pricing, contract strategy, and key account development
  • Work closely with R&D, Product Management, and Regulatory Affairs to manage the lifecycle of the product portfolio
  • Accelerate new product introductions with focus on sustainability, performance differentiation, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead a diverse and cross-functional team across commercial, technical, and operational roles
  • Attract, develop, and retain key talent with a focus on inclusion, engagement, and leadership pipeline development


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the chemical or oil and gas industry
  • Strong track record of leading P&L and delivering sustainable financial and operational results
  • Deep understanding of chemical market dynamics, supply chain complexities, regulatory environments, and customer applications
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and teams in matrixed environments
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and technical orientation

COMPENSATION

The annual base salary range for this position is $202,238-$252,798. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive eligible.
