DescriptionThe primary goal of this position is to oversee the operations of all egg processing facilities.
SHIFT HOURS: This is a Monday through Friday salary role
STARTING RATE: Commensurate with experience
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
Job Functions:- Responsible for overseeing and directing Plant Managers for production, maintenance, quality and other support functions at Liquid Egg Processing, Spring Meadow Farms, Central Egg Processing and St. Henry Egg Warehouse.
- Coordinate plant activities through effective planning with the Sales managers and each facility's Plant Manager to ensure production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Develop and control budgets and business planning to include Project management.
- Implement cost effective systems of control over operating expenses, labor
costs, and other related expenses. - Establish and monitor plant performance standards for production and quality.
- Provide guidance to the Plant and Quality Managers in operational processes
and leadership development in their areas. - Oversee all projects relating to plant facilities and equipment, including machine
purchases & installs, equipment updates, expansions, etc. - Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
Requirements- A bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred but will be waived for appropriate business experience.
- At least 10 years' experience with Cooper Farms or similar operation in various fields including production, sales, logistics, etc.
- The ability to coach and mentor growing personnel at all levels is critical to this position.
- This position requires proactive cross-functional collaboration, sound management practices, and effective communication of results.
- The individual must build strong relationships internally and externally, support sales and customers, and be willing to travel as needed.
- The role requires a self-starter focused on continuous improvement, team development, servant leadership, the Cooper Culture, and achieving Egg Processing Operations goals.
- Sound reasoning skills and problem-solving aptitude is also important.
