General Manager

This is an executive leadership opportunity for a proven business leader who understands how to balance sales growth, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. The ideal candidate has a strong background managing a P&L, leading cross-functional teams, developing strategic business plans, and driving profitable growth.

What You'll Do
  • Provide strategic leadership for the Westerville operation, establishing the vision and direction for continued business growth.
  • Own the location's P&L, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and financial accountability.
  • Develop and execute annual business plans, budgets, sales strategies, and operational initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor sales, operations, project management, service, and administrative teams.
  • Drive business development efforts while supporting key customer relationships and expanding market share.
  • Monitor business performance and adjust operational strategies to meet changing market conditions.
  • Foster a culture centered around accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and at or above expected profit margins.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and operational excellence.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and industry partners while representing the organization professionally throughout the community.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety programs, financial controls, and operational best practices.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing business operations, sales, and customer-facing teams.

  • Strong business acumen with experience developing budgets, forecasting, and executing strategic business plans.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the electronic security, integrated systems, low-voltage, fire alarm, life safety, building automation, communications, or systems integration industries.
  • Experience leading multi-million-dollar operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent leadership experience).
  • Project management experience and knowledge of service delivery best practices.
  • Strong understanding of the Central Ohio market and commercial construction environment.
