Technical Solution Owner

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect / Principal Architect to serve as a Technical Solution Owner responsible for leading complex technology initiatives across multiple workstreams. This individual will provide technical leadership, delivery oversight, stakeholder management, and solution governance while ensuring successful execution of project priorities.

The ideal candidate combines strong architecture expertise with program delivery leadership, effectively bridging business objectives and technology execution. This role requires the ability to drive outcomes, remove delivery obstacles, manage competing priorities, and provide strategic guidance across teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Technical Solution Owner for large-scale technology initiatives, leading up to two concurrent workstreams.
  • Provide end-to-end technical leadership, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, architecture standards, and delivery commitments.
  • Drive day-to-day project operations, coordinating activities across cross-functional teams and ensuring timely execution of deliverables.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, and leadership to define priorities and align delivery plans.
  • Manage and prioritize delivery backlogs, ensuring teams focus on the highest-value work.
  • Identify and remove technical and operational blockers to maintain project momentum.
  • Establish and communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Guide solution design decisions and ensure adherence to enterprise architecture principles, security requirements, and best practices.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on organizational processes, business operations, and technical platforms.
  • Support release planning, implementation activities, and continuous improvement efforts across the program.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, technical leadership, or related roles.
  • Proven experience leading complex technology programs or multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong background in solution design, systems integration, and enterprise-scale technology platforms.
  • Experience partnering with both technical and business stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success managing project delivery, priorities, dependencies, and risks in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile delivery methodologies, and backlog management.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence decisions, build consensus, and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $100-115hr. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
