the Bronx, NY, and help middle and high school students develop critical thinking skills while exploring the people, events, and issues that have shaped our world.

Position Overview - Provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction in General Education to 7th-12th grade students.
- Develop and deliver lessons that encourage critical thinking, strong reading and writing skills, and meaningful discussion of history, civil rights, and social issues.
- Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes student engagement, academic growth, and a love of learning.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and school staff to support student success and contribute to a strong school community.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree Required
- NYC Teaching Certificate - PREFERRED
- Need a min of 12 Credits in subject area if not a certified Teacher - Will need to send transcript.
- Teaching experience: 1-2 years in subject area
- If they do not have a teaching license We are looking for someone with direct experience teaching the subject area to MS/HS students.
- Experience with Urban Teaching environments
- Engaged and Eager to teach
