Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking a mid-level General and Operations Manager (GOM) to support the WOLF Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) SOF C5ISR contract at Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Webster Outlying Field (WOLF), St. Inigoes, MD. This position serves as a key member of the program management team responsible for planning, leading, directing, and coordinating the operations of a team managing SOF C5ISR systems in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) programs. The GOM formulates procedures, plans and directs the execution of daily operations, monitors strategic initiatives, and captures user requirements to ensure contract performance is delivered on schedule, within cost, and in full compliance with all Task Direction Letter (TDL) requirements. The GOM will also provide recommendations on the development, operation, evaluation, and support of SOF C5ISR systems to both MAG leadership and government counterparts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Duties include, but not limited to:

 

  • Plan, lead, direct, and coordinate the operations of a multi-disciplinary team managing SOF C5ISR systems across multiple active Task Direction Letters supporting AFSOC, USSOCOM, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Marine Corps customers
  • Formulate procedures governing daily operations, monitor program performance against strategic initiatives, and capture evolving user requirements to ensure responsive and compliant delivery across all contract task areas
  • Provide recommendations on the development, operation, evaluation, and support of SOF C5ISR systems, informing both internal program decisions and government customer planning activities
  • Maintain regular coordination with Government Project Leads (GPLs) and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) to track performance, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with customer priorities
  • Participate in the established program management battle rhythm including monthly COR meetings, bi-weekly status briefings, and monthly in-person reviews with SCMS Division leadership
  • Engage with Government Project Leads through weekly site visits and in-person attendance at customer meetings and events, building the trusted relationships that are central to MAG's performance model on this contract
  • Support workforce management activities including recruiting coordination, personnel security processing, and employee integration and retention efforts
  • Assist senior leadership in identifying and developing emerging requirements, capability gaps, and growth opportunities across the WOLF enterprise
Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Minimum of three years of experience in program management, operations management, or systems engineering support in a defense contracting environment, of which at least one year must include direct supervisory experience leading technical or programmatic teams
  • Demonstrated experience planning, leading, directing, and coordinating operations of technical teams in support of Department of Defense customers; familiarity with SOF, AFSOC, USSOCOM, U.S. Navy, or U.S. Marine Corps customers strongly preferred
  • Experience formulating operational procedures, monitoring strategic initiatives, and translating user requirements into actionable program guidance
  • Experience managing or coordinating subcontractor relationships and multi-disciplinary technical teams
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, invoice tracking, and contract compliance activities in a cost-reimbursable contract environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CAC, Flankspeed/NMCI, and government network access required to perform contract duties
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to build working relationships with government counterparts

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing recommendations on the development, operation, evaluation, and support of SOF C5ISR systems
  • Familiarity with C5ISR, RF systems, tactical radios, AV/VTC, electronic warfare, or signals intelligence programs
  • Familiarity with government property management requirements
  • Experience supporting contracts structured around Task Direction Letters or Delivery Orders
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Experience working at or supporting WOLF St. Inigoes, MD, or other SOCOM-supported installations

 

Education

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.

 

Physical and Travel Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations including MacDill AFB FL, Fort Bragg NC, Eglin AFB FL, Baumholder Germany, Mons Belgium, and other customer sites as mission requirements dictate.

The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD).
