Role Overview:The role involves pipeline engineering, release orchestration, and cloud deployment within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. The candidate will focus on building scalable CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and enabling developer teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Architect, build, and evolve scalable, reusable, and secure CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for microservice-based applications.
- Integrate deployment pipelines with change-management systems like ServiceNow to automate change requests and pipeline gates.
- Administer package and container registries such as JFrog Artifactory and GCP Artifact Registry.
- Collaborate on building secure, repeatable deployment templates for GCP services including GKE, Cloud Run, GCS, Dataform, and IAM.
- Create CI/CD templates and self-service automation to help product engineering teams launch services with secure defaults.
- Embed static analysis (SAST/DAST), Software Composition Analysis (SCA), and unit/integration test gates into pipelines.
- Diagnose and resolve complex build, runner, caching, and deployment issues.
- Interpret and write Terraform code, debug state, and provide guidance to developers.
- Author developer playbooks, architectural diagrams, and migration guides.
Required Skills:- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Javascript, along with Bash shell scripting.
- Solid foundation in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Build, IAM, and VPC service controls.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab, including branching strategies, GitLab CI YAML, matrix builds, and custom runner configuration.
- Experience with Terraform, Dataform, and Cloud Composer.
Qualifications:- 8-10 years of experience.
