Job Description

Eurofins Medical Device Services is a global leader in analytical chemistry and biocompatibility testing services of various types of materials from polymeric materials to resins to biomaterials. Our laboratories are at the forefront of the industry, providing scientific expertise and analytical techniques to support medical device companies at every phase of the product lifecycle, from R&D to manufacturing.

Our laboratory in Maryland Heights, Missouri provides analytical chemistry testing specializing in supporting medical device manufacturers. We have an opening for a Scientist. As a Scientist, you will be designing experiments, operating instrumentation, and interpreting analytical data from GC-MS (Gas Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry). You will write scientific reports leveraged in submissions for obtaining regulatory approval for medical devices. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications
  • B.S. with 7+ years of relevant experience, M.S. with 2+ years of relevant experience, or Ph.D. in chemistry (analytical, organic, and/or polymer chemistry)
  • Must have experience operating GCMS instrumentation and analyzing data from GCMS
  • Demonstrate effective time management of multiple projects at a time in this fast-paced environment.
  • Able to demonstrate fine and gross motor skills, sitting, lifting, bending, speaking, and writing.
  • Able to interpret analytical data from GC-MS, including having experience with untargeted analysis and unknown compound identification.
  • Experienced in writing scientific reports fit for the audience that include specific conclusions, exact methodology, and supporting analytical data.


Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm includes 1 hour lunch break. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of St. Louis, MO are encouraged to apply.
