Qualifications- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- Valid Georgia medical license and DEA registration
- Experience in outpatient or procedural settings is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in communities with limited access to specialty care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is beneficial
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat gastrointestinal conditions across patient populations.
- Perform GI procedures including endoscopy, colonoscopy, and biopsies.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure care in coordination with surgical center personnel.
- Coordinate with primary care and behavioral health teams to align treatment plans.
- Offer patient education related to condition management and treatment expectations.
- Document clinical encounters and procedures in the EMR system.
- Participate in quality initiatives.
