SummaryThe Dietitian is a member of the Gastroenterology team and serves as the resource and instructor for patients, families, and professionals on nutritional issues in the management of gastrointestinal disorders. The Dietitian will also work directly with the Liver Transplant team in their monthly clinic. The Dietitian assesses the patient, provides dietary recommendations, instructs the patient/family in the plan and evaluates the success of the patient and plan to meet the dietary goals of the patient.
Requirements- Education and Work Experience:
- Nutrition or related field at an accredited college or university
- 3 years as a working dietitian
- License Requirements:
- Licensed (LDN) by the DHMH of Maryland and by the national credentialing board of the ADA, Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD).
- Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification as a Specialist in Digestive Health preferred.
