Full Job Description
We are seeking experienced, competent, conscientious, service-oriented individuals with strong character to be a Gastroenterology advanced practitioner in one of our divisions.

This role is ideal for someone who is confident in a fast-paced outpatient and inpatient environment, comfortable with high volume patient loads, able to integrate quickly with minimal training.

Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA program

Maintains current Florida license (ARNP, APRN, PA), ACLS

Assumes responsibility for professional development and continuing education.

Minimum Requirements:

- Very proficient with the EMR

- Prefer 3 years of experience as a billing provider

- Preference to candidates with GI experience

Essential Functions:
  • Assists physicians with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients.
  • Integrates patient and family education throughout the delivery of care.
  • Provides safe and effective patient care under the direction of the physician.
  • Assists the Provider in hospitalization and follow-up management of post-hospitalized patients.
  • Maintains accurate, legible clinical documentation within the medical records assuring compliance with all guidelines.
  • Comprehensively screens patients for care opportunities and collaborates with treating physician and/or APRN to develop plans that meet patients' needs and result in appropriate quality care.
  • Assesses the data reflective of the patient's status, and interprets the necessary information needed to identify each patient's requirements.
  • Coordinates the care and delegates as appropriate to other team members on a defined group of patients.
  • Documents in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner meeting all required and regulatory standards.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Flexible and willing to handle extended hours and on-call responsibilities (evenings, weekends, and holidays).
