Position Title

Genetic Counselor - Maternal Fetal Medicine

Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

In addition to providing patient care, the Genetic Counselor will be responsible for performing multiple clinical and coordination tasks with a high degree of competency. This position requires knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of clinical care.

Education:

Master's degree in genetics or genetic counseling is required.

Experience:

Two years of experience in genetic counseling is required.

Certification/Licensure:

Board Certified Genetic Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia Preferred or Board Eligible Genetic Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia is preferred.
