Full Job Description

Labcorp Genetics is seeking a patient facing Genetic Counselor to provide remote based genetic counseling for reproductive endocrinology practices across the United States.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm local time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care for patients and couples via telegenetic counseling (video conference)
  • Genetic Counseling will include gamete donor genetic risk assessments, targeted genetic test result counseling and comprehensive counseling sessions for fertility patients
  • Facilitate the delivery of genetic test results
  • Have access to the expertise of a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues
  • Be able to engage in professional growth opportunities including writing abstracts and publications, providing physician education and participate in other projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling
  • American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification or Active Candidate Status for ABGC
  • Multi State Genetic Counselor license or ability to obtain multi-state GC licenses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years or more experience as a certified Genetic Counselor (post completion of Masters degree)
  • 2 years or more experience of women’s health genetic counseling
  • 2 years or more experience of infertility genetic counseling

Additional Job Standards:

  • Highly organized, including excellent time management skills
  • Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office

**Pay Range: $88,000 - $120,000 / year
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
