Responsibilities

  • Supervise audit and tax preparation processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare and manage data for Capital Calls, Distributions, and Allocations to investors.
  • Track and manage portfolio company financings with detail-oriented oversight.
  • Oversee cash flow management and forecasting to support business decisions.
  • Assist in preparing Quarterly Reports for Limited Partners, ensuring transparency and clarity.
  • Maintain accurate investor information in third-party software systems.
  • Travel locally to Client sites when necessary, supporting client relationships.

Full Job Description
Job Description:

The Fund Controller at Standish works with other team members to lead the financial reporting and administration operations of our clients. In conjunction with the Engagement Manager, the Fund Controller is responsible for fund accounting, capital account maintenance and financial statement preparation for clients.

Essential Functions:
  • Supervision of the audit and tax preparation process
  • Assisting with the preparation of information and data for Capital Calls, Distributions and Allocations to investors
  • Detailed management and tracking of portfolio company financings
  • Cash flow management and forecasting
  • Assisting with the Quarterly Reporting to the Limited Partners
  • Maintenance of investor information in third party software systems
  • Some local travel to Client sites as needed

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required (Finance/Accounting/Economics concentration preferred)
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent
  • CPA is a plus
  • Previous Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting, preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred

Compensation Ranges Annually (varies by city):
  • LA: $90,000 - $110,000
  • San Francisco: $90,000 - $115,000
  • Seattle: $85,000 - $100,000

*Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
