What is the Opportunity?The SAP Functional Lead Ariba SLP (Supplier Lifecycle and Performance) is responsible for enhancing, supporting, and developing all aspects of SAP Ariba SLP at Aecon, with a strong focus on SAP ECC and S/4HANA P2P capabilities. The lead will partner with key stakeholders on projects and business initiatives to maximize the effectiveness of end-to-end procurement processes (mainly on procure-to-pay, along with order-to-cash and record-to-report) while ensuring the overall operational health, controls, and roadmap of the SAP Procurement landscape.
What You'll Do Here:- Gather, analyze, prioritize, and document business requirements through workshops and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Analyze complex business processes and recommend SAP Ariba SLP solutions aligned with Aecon requirements.
- Build strong understanding of Aecon business processes and act as liaison for SAP Ariba SLP production support.
- Lead application design, blueprinting, configuration, enhancements, and documentation for SAP Ariba SLP functionality.
- Serve as the hands-on functional expert during unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and QA coordination.
- Coordinate with SAP Functional Analysts, Leads, QA, technical teams, vendors, and internal IT teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Support S/4HANA procurement integration architecture, including SAP BTP services, CPI, APIs, and integration across SAP and non-SAP applications.
- Provide end-user training, job aids, release communications, and adoption support for SAP ECC, S/4HANA Procurement, Fiori, and Ariba SLP processes.
- Follow SAP best practices and Aecon ITSM processes while supporting changes, expedited transports, releases, regression testing, and cutover activities.
- Work independently, mentor junior resources, support audits when required, and operate according to internal, external, and legal standards.
What You Bring to the Team: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline, with minimum 3+ years of hands-on SAP Ariba experience, including extensive expertise in SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP); SAP Ariba and/or Procurement certifications are preferred.
- Ideally 5+ years of SAP Procurement, Materials Management (MM), or Source-to-Pay experience in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA including requisitions, purchase orders, service procurement, inventory management, goods receipt processing, vendor master/business partner management, release strategies, reporting, and Fiori applications.
- Lead the design, configuration, and support of Ariba SLP processes, including supplier registration, onboarding, qualification, disqualification, segmentation, performance management, workflows lifecycle, reporting and governance.
- Manage supplier risk, compliance, forms, questionnaires, assessments, and supplier data stewardship to ensure high-quality supplier master data and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes across procurement and supplier management functions.
- Maintain working knowledge of SAP Ariba solutions including Buying & Invoicing, Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Enablement, and SAP Business Network.
- Provide expertise in Ariba integration architecture, including SAP Business Partner integration, vendor master synchronization, supplier replication, SAP BTP services, SAP CPI, APIs, web services, identity management, security, workflow, and approval frameworks.
- Collaborate across Procurement, Finance/AP, Project Systems, and other business functions to deliver integrated solutions spanning SAP and non-SAP enterprise applications.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with proven success leading cross-functional teams and supporting enterprise procurement transformation and modernization initiatives.

The expected pay range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000 per year
