Full Job Description
Do you want to lead Proactive Quality across the EE software, hardware and electrical/electronic systems? We're looking for a self-starter who can drive engineering teams to build in quality from the earliest design stage, not inspect for it later. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional leadership role with direct influence over the quality of next-generation, software-defined vehicles. FEA Quality Lead owns quality for the vehicle's Functional & Electronic Architecture (FEA-x) domain: ADAS, Infotainment & Connectivity, Vehicle Access & Start, Secure Gateway Module, Body Control Module, Wiring and Electrical Architecture (STLA Atlantis High/Mid, Powernet, Brain 1.2). This role combines the Design Quality / Top Hat Quality Manager and FEA-x Quality Lead positions into one end-to-end technical authority for design integrity, owning Lessons Learned, APQP, risk management and design review leadership so past failures and emerging risks are caught early, not at launch. You'll drive preventive quality gates and cross-program learning, support robust launches for Top Hat programs and derivative vehicles built on the same electrical architecture and partner with Quality Domain / Functional Quality Managers to run independent technical assessments from the first design review through every PDP milestone. Key Responsibilities: - Own Quality KPIs and forecast quality performance across the FEA-x domain - Capture and deploy Lessons Learned across Top Hat programs sharing the same electrical architecture - Lead structured Design Reviews with FEAs and SSTMs, covering design readiness, feature availability, validation maturity, software robustness and DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) convergence - Run independent, cross-functional design assessments across the full FEA-x module set, enforcing corrective actions from the earliest design review onward - Present design integrity and quality status at each vehicle PDP milestone review - Track APQP (HW/SW) and System DFMEA/PFMEA completion across all FEA-x modules - Prioritize and escalate critical issues through FEW / SSTM / SSTL / Tech Center / Program and Project reviews - Assess severity, occurrence and detection (SOD) to support go/no-go decisions and deferral committee positions - Build recovery plans with SSTMs containment, corrective action, verification and timing to protect SOP - Align EHE, SWE, CCLP, Quality and Vehicle Engineering owners on deliverables and quality metrics - Turn historical defects, warranty data and escalation outcomes into preventive actions and stronger quality gates - Support quality readiness for OTA delivery and Telematic Box/RTCU connectivity through launch Critical Responsibilities: This role consolidates data across the full FEA-x module set ADAS, Infotainment, Vehicle Access & Start, Secure Gateway Module, Wiring, Body Control Module, Electrical Architecture and Telematic Box/RTCU to identify and prioritize the highest-risk quality issues. It's the central Quality integration point between Top Hat programs and the FEA-x organization, and the independent design integrity authority from the earliest design review through Mass Production Transfer Review (MPTR). Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - A minimum of 8 years in Product Engineering, including E/E architecture and SW/HW integration - Team leadership or supervisory experience - Strong written/verbal communication skills; able to challenge senior stakeholders - Solid grasp of Functional PDP, SWE/EHE deliverables and SW/Connectivity development plans - Proficient in MS Excel, MS Project and AI-assisted engineering tools Preferred Qualifications: - Technical depth across the FEA-x module set: ADAS, Infotainment & Connectivity, Vehicle Access & Start, Secure Gateway Module, Body Control Module, Wiring and Electrical Architecture (STLA Atlantis High, Powernet, Brain 1.2) - Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - Familiarity with SDV platforms, OTA delivery, DFMEA/PFMEA and predictive quality methods - Familiarity with Stellantis tools: Quantic, PLM/PLE, Lessons Learned, Bulletins - Black Belt (Shainin Red X or Design for Six Sigma) - Project Management experience
