Lovelace Medical Group is seeking a self-motivated General Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Lovelace family in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico.
About the Position:
- Lovelace Medical Group Independence Square
- Join a surgical team of 6 physicians and 2 APP's
- Inpatient and Outpatient mix
- Daily Patient Average: 18-24 on clinic days
- Mon-Fri, 8-5
- EMR: Epic (Ambience AI tool)
Required Skills/ProceduresDemonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Candidates should be comfortable managing pre- and post-operative patients, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities are essential for success in this role.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
- Current licensure in the state of New Mexico
- must be able to obtain a DEA registration and New Mexico board of pharmacy prescriptive authority by the time of employment
- excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills are required
- experience and medical weight management is strongly preferred
