Full Job Description
Lovelace Medical Group is seeking a self-motivated General Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Lovelace family in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico.

About the Position:

  • Lovelace Medical Group Independence Square
  • Join a surgical team of 6 physicians and 2 APP's
  • Inpatient and Outpatient mix
  • Daily Patient Average: 18-24 on clinic days
  • Mon-Fri, 8-5
  • EMR: Epic (Ambience AI tool)


Required Skills/Procedures

Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Candidates should be comfortable managing pre- and post-operative patients, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities are essential for success in this role.

Candidate Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
  • Current licensure in the state of New Mexico
  • must be able to obtain a DEA registration and New Mexico board of pharmacy prescriptive authority by the time of employment
  • excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills are required
  • experience and medical weight management is strongly preferred
