Full Job Description
Develop and deliver high-quality lectures, laboratories, and seminars in Veterinary Small Animal Surgery. Mentor and advise veterinary students, guiding their academic and professional development. Collaborate with other faculty members to design and implement an integrated, competency-based curriculum. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum through active participation in departmental and college-wide committees. Comply with the policies, manuals, academic procedures, and executive orders that apply to the teaching staff of the program. Comply with the actions established in the licensing and accreditation plan according to the academic offering of the academic program. Establish and maintain a productive research program that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in your field. Publish research findings in reputable, peer-reviewed journals. Participate actively in departmental, college, and university service activities, including committee work and student advising.

Requisitos

Required qualifications: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS), or residency trained in Small Animal Surgery. Preferred qualifications: PhD. Five (5) years of clinical and/or teaching experience in veterinary medicine. Demonstrate excellence in teaching and research in specialty area. Tracked record of scholarly activity, including publications and successful grant applications. Commitment to student-centered education and innovative teaching practices. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Experience in curriculum development and innovative teaching methodologies. Dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to engage in interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
