The Social Work Department at Azusa Pacific University seeks to prepare students for professional social work practice as demonstrated by competence in skill performance with diverse populations in a variety of settings. ¿¿ We are seeking a faculty member to coordinate an established and expanding MSW program based out of our Inland Empire Regional Campus site, slated to serve all Regional Campus areas (Inland Empire, High Desert, Orange, Murrieta, and San Diego) via a new hybrid program modality (online synchronous with once-day residencies once per semester at the Inland Empire campus) in the coming years. The Regional Site Director position is a full-time, 10-month faculty appointment with summer administrative duties that are reflected in the contract. As required by CSWE, the administrative release equals up to 50% of the contract duties, with the remainder assigned to teaching and scholarship expectations in accordance with determined workload. The Director reports to the Chair of the Department of Social Work and is responsible for overall development, implementation, and evaluation of the Regional Campus program, in coordination with the MSW Program Director and Director of Practicum Education, and in accordance with CSWE standards.

Specialization: Program development, administration and planning, social work education, and direct practice.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality graduate curriculum, in coordination with the MSW Program Director and in accordance with CSWE and Department standards, making adjustments and changes as needed to reflect advancements in the field and meet the needs of students.
• Work with university-approved teams to develop quality online versions of needed courses alongside course subject matter experts (SMEs) and to monitor the quality of these courses.
• Conduct annual assessments of program quality, as well as program reviews which are conducted according to the university program review schedule (once per seven years). This includes assessment of student learning objectives, student and alumni satisfaction with the program, industry perceptions of graduates, and other elements.
• Coordinate with the Azusa MSW Program Director and Graduate and Professional Admissions for the recruitment and admission of students.
• Engage in community relations to promote program development and growth.
• Provide support to faculty in the advising/mentoring of MSW students.
• Develop the program course schedule and faculty course assignments in consultation with the Chair and Azusa MSW Program Director.
• Hire and supervise adjunct faculty at the regional campus site and online in coordination with the Chair.
• Provide supervision to MSW Program Coordinator in coordination with Azusa MSW Program Director and Chair.
• Teach courses as assigned by the Chair.
• Participate in scholarship as determined by the scholarship tier.
• Participation in the life of and service to the Social Work Department and greater university community.

Level: Faculty Appointment; rank based on education and experience.

Qualifications : PhD or DSW preferred, with Master of Social Work degree from an accredited social work program. Demonstrated administration and program development experience required. Higher education experience, and LCSW strongly preferred. Candidates with strong administration and program development skill without higher education experience will be considered. Candidates must be able to communicate their Christian faith and how they ethically integrate faith in social work scholarship and practice. Basic computer skills required.

Compensation:

• $70,304 to $125,460 is the annual salary for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package .
