Responsibilities include didactic teaching for predoctoral and postgraduate students, direct supervision of comprehensive patient care in predoctoral clinics, oversight of students during dental laboratory courses, course directorship, and administrative duties as assigned. Develop and deliver high-quality lectures, laboratories, and seminars in your area of expertise. Mentor and advise dental students, guiding their academic and professional development. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum through active participation in departmental and college-wide committees. Deliver lectures, labs, and seminars that are engaging, evidence-based, and aligned with current best practices in dental education. Utilize diverse teaching methodologies to accommodate different learning styles and enhance student engagement. Develop assessments that accurately measure student learning and provide constructive feedback. Stay current with advancements in dental medicine and education to ensure the delivery of up-to-date content. Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness. Coordinate the Academic Program of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine and Surgery.
Requisitos
DMD/DDS degree from a U.S. or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation. Candidate must possess a specialty in Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine and Surgery. Active dental license. Must be eligible to be licensed in Puerto Rico in a reasonable amount of time. Five (5) to seven (7) years of professional experience in similar roles. Experience in dental education, including course directorship and clinical teaching in specialties such as oral and maxillofacial medicine and surgery, is preferred. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research in your area of expertise. Commitment to student-centered education and innovative teaching practices. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
