Location: Inpatient Facility - Medical - Saranac Lake, NY Position: Full-time Associate Director Inpatient Medical Services (RN) Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Pay Range: $77,931.00/year to $95,465.48/year Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full Time/40+ hours per week. (Hours and schedules may vary depending on company need and workload. Employees will be given as much advance notice as possible when such changes occur. Position Summary: Under the direction of the Inpatient Services Director, the Associate Director of Inpatient Medical Services is responsible for medical services to residents and supervising all medical staff. Qualifications and Requirements: 3NYS Registered Nurse3 3Knowledge of modern principles and practices of alcohol and chemical dependency programs, knowledge of current NYS DOH nursing and medical operations regulations and medical supervisory experience.3 Essential Duties: 3Supervising daily operations of nursing services.3 3Supervises all medical staff.3 3Ensuring nursing coverage for all shifts.3 3Maintains effective and efficient working relationships with Medial Director, physicians and Inpatient Services Director.3 3Maintains effective and efficient working relationships with clinical staff.3 3Conducts phone screening approvals for prospective residents.3 3Conducts and interprets comprehensive nursing assessments.3 3Ensures medical documentation is completed by staff and physicians.3 3Review and investigates all incident reports received from medical staff.3 3Contributes to Aftercare Plan Development based on medical needs.3 3Coordinates medical and clinical interventions for resident in support of tobacco cessation and MAT services.3 3Ensures the provision of education, risk education, counseling and referral services to all residents regarding HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis, hepatitis, sexually transmitted diseases, and other communicable diseases.3 3Provide education of residents and staff as it pertains to medical services.3 3Adhere to Pharmacy Services Policy in its entirety, inclusive of controlled substances policy, procedures and protocol.3 3Actively participated in meetings, committees, and quality assurance activities.3 3Works in concert with the Medical Director, Inpatient Services Director, physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.3 3Facilitates renewal of all licensure and certifications for medical operations.3 3Process all invoices related to medical expenses, prescriptions, labs, supplies.3 3Responsible for oversight of annual competencies and onboarding new staff3 3Ensuring Narcotic waste/destruction with BNE is done correctly.3 3Implement and monitor quality management to ensure compliance with CLIA and to meet all standards of accreditation.3 3Ensure Narcan training is provided to all residents.3 3Manage and operate in concert with the Medical Director the Hepatitis C treatment.3 3Approve all medication changes in the EMAR.3 3Responsible for additional duties as maybe assigned by the Inpatient Services Director.3
