Position Overview:

Burnett Therapeutic Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assessor to conduct assessments for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or delays. The Assessor position will be held by an individual who has the training, education, and/or experience necessary to serve as a Qualified Autism Service Professional. This is a remote position requiring expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and the ability to design and deliver comprehensive assessments to guide treatment planning. The ideal candidate will hold a BCBA credential and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in assessment practices.

Essential Job Functions / Key Performance Areas:
  • Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) using standardized assessment tools such as the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, Vineland-III, and other evidence-based methodologies.
  • Develop detailed assessment reports that include treatment recommendations based on assessment findings.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure assessment results inform individualized treatment plans.
  • Analyze data collected during assessments to identify patterns and recommend appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Coordinate and conduct caregiver or stakeholder interviews to gather pertinent background information.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in assessment and ABA methodologies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of assessments and related documentation, adhering to organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate assessment results effectively to stakeholders, including caregivers, school staff, and other professionals as needed.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain BCBA certification and further enhance assessment expertise.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality in assessment procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), with a minimum of 4 years within a BCBA role, in good standing.
  • Education: Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience conducting assessments for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. Strong understanding of ABA principles and evidence-based assessment tools. Solid experience with various assessment tools & processes.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in documenting and presenting assessment results.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining collaboration with the clinical team.
  • Proficient in using data collection and analysis software, as well as telehealth platforms.

Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.
  • BCBA Certification (5+ years experience working in a BCBA role & conducting various assessments.)
  • Ability to submit DOJ/FBI clearances
  • Flexible schedule, able to accommodate families.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Valid California Driver's license (if working in-person/hybrid)
  • Reliable transportation, and valid automobile Insurance. (if working in-person/hybrid)
