Job Description

The Full Stack Web Engineer is a versatile, systems-minded developer experienced in building high-performing, scalable, cloud-native applications. In this role, you will work across the entire stack-from cloud infrastructure and secure backend logic to responsive, intuitive user interfaces.

A primary focus for this position will be serving as a key engineering accelerator as we expand our AI capabilities. You will take intelligent automation, AI-driven/agentic workflows from prototype to scale while focusing on assuring correct execution and robust operations.

We are looking for an engineer who embraces modern development workflows, including AI-assisted coding tools, to accelerate delivery and assure code quality. You will be responsible for full-lifecycle development across the stack-from async background job management and cloud infrastructure to intuitive dashboards that give visibility into our automation pipelines.

You'll be working within an ecosystem of automation platforms (UIPath, Gemini Agents) and standalone web applications

Primary Job Duties:
  • End-to-End Automation Engineering: Design, build, and maintain our core automated workflow engine, ensuring seamless orchestration between web apps, RPA pipelines, and data models.
  • AI Expansion: Partner with product and data teams to transition prototypes, internal automation tools, and predictive models into robust, scalable, production-ready product features.
  • High-Availability Scaling: Ensure high-volume, low-latency performance for backend worker queues, mission-critical systems, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Modern Workflows: Excel within an advanced engineering environment by leveraging integrated AI-assisted development platforms (GitLab and the Gemini ecosystem) to accelerate coding velocity, conduct code reviews, and automate comprehensive test suites.
  • Mentorship & Collaboration: Support (and be supported by) other team members, especially earlier-career developers, in a strong culture of mentorship.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience building full-stack web applications, including complex API integrations and background job processing, with the following core technologies:
    • Server: Python or Ruby on Rails
    • Storage: SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake).
    • Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (Node, React, etc).
  • Automation Ecosystem Awareness: Practical exposure to or engineering experience with automation tools (either building automated agents, integrating RPA bots, or working with Document Intelligence/IDP tools).
  • Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and monitoring scalable applications within a major Public Cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • AI-Augmented Development: Demonstrated experience integrating AI development assistants into your daily coding workflow to increase velocity and code quality. These tools could include prompt engineering, skills.md, multi-agent orchestration, RAG use cases.
  • Full-Stack Capability: Proven ability to build out a complete vertical slice of a product (both frontend and backend) given a feature specification or mockup.
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Must provide accessibility to a private, quiet workspace with high-speed internet to effectively work remotely.
  • Must be willing and able to communicate with the team via webcam, webconf, and phone.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience building AI Agents (openClaw, UIPath, Gemini AI Studio)
  • Direct experience with specific Document Intelligence APIs (e.g., Azure Document Intelligence, AWS Textract, Google Cloud Document AI).
  • Experience handling complex state machines, message brokers (RabbitMQ, Redis, Kafka, PubSub)
  • Experience with Cloud-native tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).

Additional Information

The salary range for this role is $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance, 401K, paid time off, and other wellness programs). This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15% . The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location

Technical Requirements (for remote workers only, not applicable for onsite/in office work):

In order to successfully work remotely, supporting our patients and providers, we require a minimum of 5 MBPS for Download Speed and 3 MBPS for the Upload Speed. This should be acquired prior to the start of your employment. The best measure of your internet speed is to use online speed tests like https://www.speedtest.net/. This gives you an update as to how fast data transfer is with your internet connection and if it meets the minimum speed requirements. Work with your internet provider if you have questions about your connection. Employees who regularly work from home offices are eligible for expense reimbursement to offset this cost.
