We deliver new and innovative intelligence solutions to our customers at the very forefront of our country's national security missions. And we do it every single day. Our work matters, and so will you.

We ask that every new hire be able to:
  • Contribute meaningful thought leadership - if not right away, over time
  • Interact with our customers and earn their confidence in your abilities
  • Be detailed, even if that means taking a little more time to get it right
  • Contribute their ideas and ideals to improve all aspects of our company
  • Allow us to invest in their education so we both grow together
  • Know and live our core values every single day

About this Role

You'll join a forward-deployed development team providing critical mission support where you'll work closely with analysts and operators to plan and architect solutions to complex intelligence problems. As a senior member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to work on every part of the intelligence collection and exploitation pipeline.

You'll sit next to operators to understand how they work and how you can support their workflows. You'll collaborate with analysts to understand their data and build analytics that aid them in making decisions supporting national security. As a senior engineer, you'll work across multiple projects and provide guidance on frontend and backend design plans, helping the team and customer create robust solutions on everything from big data problems to web app data visualizations.

In this role, you will:
  • Develop intuitive webapps that convey data and analysis clearly and effectively
  • Build data transforms for every kind of data (text, JSON, databases, XML, configs, and more)
  • Facilitate customer interactions to gather feature requests, understand new application requirements, and identify project and customer needs
  • Gain deep understanding of mission objectives and data to help analysts determine the right questions to ask
  • Maintain and architect existing and new applications and transforms that thoughtfully convey analytics and data insights
  • Manage and support mission-critical servers supporting intelligence projects, working as both a developer of server frameworks and as a sysadmin when needed

Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, or a B.S. in a technical discipline plus 8+ years of experience
  • Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and React or another modern frontend framework (Angular, Vue)
  • Experience using Python for application development, scripting, and data manipulation
  • Knowledge of dataframes (pandas, polars)
  • Comfortable with SQL as a language and experience with different database flavors (SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Experience working directly with customers and collecting requirements
  • Understanding of Git and GitLab for source control

Preferred Skills
  • AWS certifications
  • DevOps CI/CD experience
  • Experience with agency data processing and data storage
  • Experience developing with AI agents
  • Intelligence community operations experience
