The Work- Lead the architecture, design, and end-to-end delivery of scalable enterprise software solutions across front-end, back-end, APIs, integrations, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Manage, mentor, and guide multidisciplinary engineering teams while fostering knowledge sharing, accountability, and high team performance.
- Drive adoption of engineering best practices, DevOps, automation, cloud-native development, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
- Oversee development of applications using Java, Angular, and React.
- Define cloud strategies and architecture using Google Cloud Platform services.
- Lead client engagements, technical discussions, solution planning, and delivery governance across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Drive application design decisions that support security, scalability, maintainability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Oversee release management, production readiness, software quality assurance practices, and application lifecycle management activities.
- Analyze complex technical challenges and propose practical solutions aligned to client and business goals.
- Support business development activities, estimations, and solution shaping efforts.
- Ability to work shifts/on-call; comfort working on-site in high-security environments.
- Travel may be required based on client demand. Accenture promotes a client-centric, flexible work environment.
- This role will require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Preferred location: Ottawa.
What You'll Need- Minimum 6 years of software engineering experience.
- Minimum 3 years of team leadership, delivery management, or architecture experience.
- Deep expertise in Java, cloud-native architectures, microservices, and full stack application delivery.
- Experience with Angular and React frameworks.
- Proven experience delivering Google Cloud Platform-based solutions.
- Master proficiency designing scalable, secure, and maintainable applications.
- Experience with release management, CI/CD, software quality practices, and application lifecycle management.
- Ability to influence decisions, mentor engineers, and deliver solutions across multiple teams.
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a related field.
- Eligibility for Reliability Security Clearance.
- Must be open to working from the office three times per week.
Bonus Points If You Have- Eligible for or currently hold Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience leading large-scale modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Google Cloud Platform certification.
- Experience within federal government or highly regulated environments.
- Experience with DevSecOps, observability, monitoring, performance tuning, and cloud cost optimization.
- Experience designing microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, or distributed systems while improving agile engineering delivery practices.
- Strong stakeholder management, consulting, delivery governance, and people leadership capabilities.
