The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to support the Department of Homeland Security's Cyber Crimes Center (C3) in designing and implementing sophisticated web applications and investigative tools. In this role, you will:
- Design and develop scalable, secure applications that support critical law enforcement investigations targeting criminal networks and dark web operations
- Build custom solutions that integrate with existing investigative systems and infrastructure
- Work within a collaborative technical team delivering mission-critical software for national security operations
- Apply modern full stack development practices to solve complex investigative challenges in anonymized environments
This position requires U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement complex web applications with advanced knowledge of frontend and backend technologies
- Develop and maintain custom applications, tools, and sites to support DHS C3 investigative operations
- Build applications using dark web technologies such as Tor for secure, anonymous communication
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices architecture to enable system integration and data exchange
- Write clean, maintainable code in Python and JavaScript for investigative software systems Implement responsive user interfaces using modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
- Develop server-side applications using frameworks such as Express.js, Django, or Flask
- Maintain and deploy code using Docker, version control (Git/GitHub), and CI/CD pipelines
- Design and optimize database schemas for performance and scalability
- Integrate applications with existing investigative systems through APIs and system interfaces
- Develop solutions that operate in anonymized and dark web environments while maintaining operational security
- Collaborate with data scientists, infrastructure engineers, and cybersecurity specialists on cross-functional projects
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes
- Document software architecture, APIs, and technical specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Support software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through production deployment
- Ensure applications meet federal security standards and compliance requirements
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field 5+ years of demonstrated full stack development experience with a proven track record of delivering production applications
- Experience developing dark web applications using technologies such as Tor for secure, anonymous communication
- Advanced proficiency in frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) with strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
- Expert-level backend development experience with Python, Node.js, or Java
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL query optimization
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Experience maintaining and deploying applications using Docker and containerization
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
- Knowledge of web security best practices, secure coding principles, and anonymization technologies
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams
- Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain and maintain clearance
Desired:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Experience integrating AI/ML models into web applications and building interfaces for AI-powered systems
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and AI model deployment
- Experience developing applications that consume AI APIs or incorporate generative AI capabilities
- Understanding of AI/ML workflows, model serving, and inference optimization

$94,400 - $198,200
