Full Job Description
Responsibilities:

  • Manage one or more Applications Development teams in an effort to accomplish established goals as well as conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)


  • Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications


  • Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects


  • Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas


  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish business goals


  • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complicated and unique situations


  • Impact the Applications Development area through monitoring delivery of end results, participate in budget management, and handling day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project


  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards negotiating with external parties when necessary


  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry


  • Core Frontend Development Skills: Expertise in semantic HTML for building well-structured and accessible web pages. Understanding web standards and best practices. CSS3: Strong command of modern CSS techniques, including Flexbox, Grid, and responsive design principles. Experience with CSS preprocessors (Sass, Less) or CSS-in-JS solutions (Styled Components, Emotion). Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions. JavaScript (ES6+): Expert-level proficiency in modern JavaScript, including asynchronous programming (Promises, Async/Await), restructuring, arrow functions, modules, and classes. Deep understanding of the DOM, event handling, and JavaScript execution context. Knowledge of JavaScript design patterns.


  • Angular Framework Expertise: Solid understanding of Angular architecture (components, modules, services, directives, pipes). Proficiency in Angular CLI for project creation, management, and deployment. Experience with Angular Material or other UI component libraries. Experience with NgRx (Redux pattern for Angular) or other state management solutions. Expertise in Angular Router, including lazy loading, route guards, and resolvers. Strong understanding and practical experience with Reactive Extensions for JavaScript, particularly for handling asynchronous data streams. Proficiency in building reactive and template-driven forms, including validation. Strong understanding of React.js, including component lifecycle, hooks (useState, useEffect, useContext, etc.), and functional components. Proficiency with JSX and the virtual DOM. Experience with Create React App or Next.js/Gatsby for project setup and development. Expertise with Redux (Redux Toolkit is a plus) for complex state management. Familiarity with React Context API for simpler state sharing. Proficiency with React Router for client-side navigation. Experience with form libraries like Formik or React Hook Form for efficient form handling and validation.


  • General JavaScript Ecosystem & Tooling: TypeScript: Strong proficiency in TypeScript for building robust and maintainable applications. Understanding of types, interfaces, and advanced type usage. Node.js & Package Managers: Familiarity with Node.js ecosystem (npm, yarn) for managing project dependencies and running build scripts. Module Bundlers: Experience with Webpack, Rollup, or Vite for bundling and optimizing frontend assets. Linting & Formatting: Proficiency with ESLint, Prettier for maintaining code quality and consistency.


  • Strong understanding of RESTful principles and experience consuming REST APIs. Knowledge of HTTP methods, status codes, and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT). Familiarity with GraphQL for querying APIs. Experience with fetch API, Axios, or other data fetching libraries.


  • Expertise in developing responsive and adaptive user interfaces for various screen sizes and devices. Knowledge of WCAG guidelines and best practices for building accessible web applications.


  • Understanding of web performance metrics (LCP, FID, CLS) and techniques for optimizing frontend applications (e.g., code splitting, lazy loading, image optimization).


Development Practices & Tools

  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) for collaborative development.


  • CI/CD: Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines for automated testing and deployment.


  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.


  • Browser Developer Tools: Expertise in using browser developer tools for debugging, performance profiling, and network analysis.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
